Returns & Refunds Policy

At JagBuddies, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines your rights and the process for returning goods, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)
In terms of Section 44 of the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return goods purchased online within 7 (seven) days of delivery, without providing a reason. This is known as the "cooling-off" period.
Your right: You may cancel an online purchase and return the goods within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, subject to the conditions below.
2. Conditions for Returns
To qualify for a return under the cooling-off period, the following conditions must be met:
- The return must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the goods.
- The goods must be unused, undamaged and in their original condition.
- All original packaging, tags, labels and accessories must be intact.
- You must provide your order number and proof of purchase.
- The goods must be in a resaleable condition.
You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product).
3. Defective or Damaged Goods
In terms of Section 56 of the CPA, if goods are defective, unsafe, or not of good quality, you are entitled to return them within 6 (six) months of delivery for your choice of:
- A full refund
- A replacement
- A repair
If goods arrive damaged due to transit, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange collection at no cost to you.
4. Wrong Item Received
If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent and collect the wrong item at no cost to you.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless defective:
- Competition tickets (non-refundable once purchased)
- Items that have been used, altered, or are not in original condition
- Custom or special-order items
- Hygiene-sensitive products that have been opened (e.g., ear protection with ear tips)
6. How to Initiate a Return
To return an item, please follow these steps:
- Contact us via email at info@jagbuddies.co.za with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- Receive a Return Authorisation — We will review your request and provide you with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) and return shipping instructions within 2 business days.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging. Include the RAN reference inside the parcel.
- Ship the item back to us using a trackable courier service. For defective or incorrect items, we will arrange collection.
- Inspection and refund — Once we receive and inspect the returned goods, we will process your refund or exchange.
7. Refund Timeframes
Once we have received and inspected the returned goods:
- Approval notification: You will receive an email confirming whether your return has been approved within 3 business days of receipt.
- Refund processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method (PayFast).
- Bank processing: Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to reflect in your bank account, depending on your bank.
For cooling-off returns, a direct charge of the return shipping cost may be deducted from your refund amount.
8. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, colour or product, please follow the return process above and indicate that you would like an exchange. If the replacement item differs in price:
- If the replacement is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference.
- If the replacement is less expensive, we will refund the difference.
9. Warranty Claims
Many of our products carry manufacturer warranties. For warranty claims:
- Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue.
- We will liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf where possible.
- Warranty terms and duration vary by manufacturer and product.
- Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
